Eden's favorite birthday present - her black baby doll

I cannot believe our little bugaboo is 1. A year goes by way too fast. When I think back to what I've done this past year it seems as though all I have done is change diapers, play on the floor, and cook dinner...it's an endless cycle - a wonderful one - but it is so crazy how those things can make a year go by so quickly. Everyone always says, "Enjoy it because it goes by so fast..." Now both Jarrett and I know how true that statement really is. It really makes you appreciate each day for what it is and enjoy the time you are sitting on the floor for countless hours -  putting money in a talking pig or playing songs by Tad the frog over and over!

I've learned this year that each day is priceless and so precious. We are so blessed to have a healthy little girl who is so happy about life. We have seen her hit lots of milestones. She has been walking since the end of her tenth month and has only gotten faster! She says daddy, baby, and  duckie - she still will not say mommy. She used too, but she has stopped. If you point to me and say mommy, she will just smile and say, "daddy!!"

We are leaving Thursday for a much needed get-a-way to Mexico. Jarrett has been extremely busy - working hard to get his Master's Degree and working 40 plus hours a week - so some time off in the sand and sun sounds wonderful!!
Here are some recent pics of our boo!

Blessings.

Mission Accomplished

Eden's 1st birthday party was a huge success! We had a blast and I think everyone else did as well (especially my mother in law) I love you Jules!!! We had her party at Starved Rock Lodge in Utica, IL. It was so beautiful and a fun place to be during the winter. Everything turned out great including the cake and balloons (thank you Lord!). Eden received lots of wonderful gifts and a BIG thank you to everyone who came. She enjoyed her cake, but did nothing crazy. Here are some pics. Enjoy!
Also, a Happy 50th Birthday to Grandpa Marty!!

Testing...

Well, here is my first attempt to do this...I know, it shouldn't be that hard, but for some reason creating this blog was no small task for me! My poor friend Amber has spent countless hours listening to my cry for help with this thing, but I think I've got it now. Here are a few things we Reardon's have been up to and some things that are coming up:

1. A couple days ago, Eden fell into her toy basket. I found out because I heard her whining on the side of the couch.
When I went over there and saw that she was stuck I went and got my camera. As soon as she saw me with the    camera, her mood immediately changed and she started posing for the pictures!!

2. We took an unexpected road trip to St. Louis Saturday morning because Eden's godmother, Danielle was ready to have her baby. We made it in time and she is the sweetest baby girl - Mikail Elise

3. We are gearing up for yet another snowstorm here in Chicago. I love it when it's like this. This has been the best
     winter!

4. We are having a little birthday party for Eden this Saturday and let me tell you I have had nightmares about it. You would think it's my wedding or something, but I've had dreams that when I picked up her cake it was royal blue and looked like a wedding cake and when I picked up the balloons they were all shriveled up and looked horrible... Anyway, I'm sure it will turn out great!

Have a blessed day.

Erin
