There is lots I want to say and share, but first I want to post some videos that I have come across. Please take a few minutes and watch these. Once you get to their sites they also have some very helpful links if you are looking for some further information on these topics.
If you haven't seen Food Inc. (click on it and watch the trailer) RENT IT. We saw it in the theatre and it confirmed to us that what we believe is true. Some food is NOT food. I beg you, just watch it just so you can become informed.
Secondly, if you are a McDonald's lover, please love no more and watch THIS and THIS. They are two very short pieces of priceless information. People have kept these hamburgers for years and they still smell, look the same. No mold has grown on them, the fries are still salty, greasy, & appealing to the eye. Oh how looks can deceive. You think you're getting a nice piece of meat but what your really getting is a chemical compound creation.
The last link is about FRESH the movie that came out in 2009. This website is extremely helpful & I recommend you go to your local library and ask if they have a copy on file or see if they can get one. Look at the SICKLY, crippled animals in this movie. This is what we're eating. No wonder we can buy a cheeseburger for $.50 & a chicken sandwich for a $1.
I will never forget a story my father-in -law told me. He traveled a lot for work and he would usually just go to the Golden Arches. One night he got an ice cream cone for dessert but when he got back to his hotel he decided he didn't want it so he threw it in the toilet. When he woke up the next morning it was still there... floating in the toilet water. Hhhmmmm.... only a chemical composed compound can do something like that.
Now I admit, I used to LOVE me an M&M McFlurry or a Triple Thick Chocolate shake, but when I started researching and reading and asking questions my intake of these kids of foods had to stop. I hope you can make the transition too.
